We salvaged these large California Black Walnut and Claro Walnut Logs from a piece of farmland in Northern California. The county is planning on expanding the road and the trees owner wanted us to save the trees before the county removed and chipped them or cut them into firewood. The owner told us that the trees were planted in the late 1800’s by his great grandfather. He has memories of his childhood being filled with many adventures playing in the trees. He was sad to see them go, but was equally as happy that we were saving them. Three of the trees are highly figured Claro Walnut and the 4th tree is a large California Black Walnut. They are all going to make beautiful live edge slabs and lumber.
