The owner of this monster 7′ wide Claro walnut tree wanted this tree removed from an old homestead to make way for more crops. Half of the top of this tree was dead, so it was time for it to come out. We are glad that we were there to do the removal because in our hands the memory of this tree will live on for years to come through the slabs. Through each slab milled came handfuls of nails that we hit, with each nail telling a story on there own. We couldn’t help but think about the amazing tree forts that this tree held.
