We were recently commissioned to create a custom conference table from this amazing Maple slab for a great local client. The slab came from a tree that was salvaged from a local Sacramento residence due to the tree having rot and decay in the branches/top of trunk. All of the cracks are splined from the bottom side to keep them from cracking in the future. We also inserted 2 electrical outlet boxes on each end of top. The top and bottom are finished with conversion varnish so they are guaranteed to last for many generations.
